EMPOWERMENT is a community-based initiative of Kishoreganj Foundation designed to create pathways to economic independence, health awareness and social inclusion for marginalized communities in Kishoreganj.

Poverty is rarely just a lack of money.
In Kishoreganj, marginalized families often face several of these pressures at once:
- Debt pressure from interest-bearing microcredit
- Limited access to capital and few legitimate skills
- Limited healthcare access and maternal-nutrition gaps
- Social stigma around mental health and menstrual health
- Gender inequality and exclusion from legitimate livelihoods
That is why Empowerment does more than donate. It builds capacity.

Instead of unrestricted cash distribution, Empowerment proposes a responsible investment model — training, tools and raw materials provided directly, interest-free and collateral-free.
Returned investment is designed to fund the next person's opportunity — “Another person gets an opportunity” closes the loop and starts it again.

Support is intended to be provided primarily through training, materials, equipment and project inputs — not by simply handing beneficiaries unrestricted cash.
